...new carry on luggage. Long overdue.

 

I just picked up a new one myself, My old hard case has a giant dent in it after checking it in the one time.

 

I'm finally on the hard case train. Decided it was non-negotiable since I'm going to have to check it for an upcoming trip...Fingers crossed it survives.

 

After years of improvements, I'm suddenly finding a bunch of planes where my standard sized carryon doesn't fit. Pretty annoying. At least it's sorta squishy and I can usually jam the door shut.

 

Most carriers have adjusted the standard requirement in the last couple of years. My carry on is pretty compact these days

Just picked up a new clutch for my car

 

My employer has spent a lot of time and money redesigning interiors to make more room for overhead bins, so it's kinda frustrating to go onto certain competitors' airplanes and find out my bag no longer fits because the new bin is a half inch shorter than the old bin (not to mention several inches smaller in multiple directions compared to the latest designs). It's especially annoying when on a certain Toulouse based competitor constantly brings up that their tube is 7 inches wider, yet the standard bin designs are too shallow for a standard carryon.

Almost all domestic operators use 22x14x9 as the standard and my bag is a tiny bit under that, for what it's worth.

 

Bought a new shirt (for me) and a bed frame (for work).

 

Bought a Mac for my son to tote off to college. I'm getting my own replacement Mac next week when I travel out to my office (but that one I don't have to pay for! )
