Oh yeah, keeping the WRX. I am trading in the Impreza though, the dealers in my area are offering high money for my Impreza so I could not resist. My local Subaru dealer has very few cars in stock, I was interested in the BRZ but the dealer was saying I wouldn't get one until July 2022. The Honda Civic Si is in the showroom and not test-driven by anyone.

NIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!! It's great to have a new car that is really new because it hasn't been test driven by others.

Yeah I love that part of it, almost a virgin, lol. They are offering crazy money for used WRX's but I am keeping it. It will compliment the Si

Definitely plus it will be good to have the AWD in case you need it plus iirc you said your son uses it. Are you going to get winter tires for the Si or not drive it in the snow?

Yeah I will put snow tires on it, I will miss the AWD of the Impreza on take-off in snowy conditions, there will be a big difference. I taught my son how to drive manual a few years ago when I had an Integra GS-R , so he is looking forward to this and driving stick. This will be an easy manual car to drive, as it has some cool features. It has hill assist. If you stall the car all you have to do is push in the clutch and the vehicle fires up again automatically, no need to touch the ignition button or the shifter. You can shift gears when in cruise control mode. It has remote start, and auto-stop, rare features for a manual tranny vehicle. I'm not a fan of the electronic e-brake, I prefer a physical handle like Subaru has.

I'll be curious to hear how it is in the snow.

I had a 2016 Honda Civic a few years back, it was great in the snow once the car got moving, but the worst part is taking off from a stop, with wheelspin if it is slick out, the AWD just take off without fuss. Once the Civic gets moving it is fine.

I didn't know that remote start on a manual car was a factory option I would think it would be too much of a liability.

When I first moved to the mountains I picked up a CRX for winter driving. It struggled a bit but only got stuck once and that was in a huge snowstorm.
