I just had a esophagogastroduodenoscopy.
At USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, my home away from home. My family doctor/gastroenterologist sent a flexible endoscope with a fiber optic camera down my throat to my esophagus to ckeck out and stretch out my Schatzki's Ring, which is causing food blockage. He also did a polyp biopsy for laboratory analysis. He didn't seem to be worried about esophageal cancer. I'm home now, still a little goofed up on Demerol and Versed. I can't drive, operate heavy machinery, sign important documents, or go to work for 18 hours, so I'm going to just kick back.
