I must say, I thought I was going to loose mine the other day at about 90mph!!!!!

Hit a spot on the highway which made the car dip and shift right all at the same time.... I just kept the power on and took a firm grip of the wheel .......... the car stepped sideways a little, but apart from that.... solid as a rock

The only time I usually get scared in this car is when it is wet !!!

Yeah, when you get to 90+ mph, it can be really scary.........especially when you are on a highway overpass (Right curve), on the inside lane and you realized the car in front of you suddenly slowed down to about 60mph and you had to cut to the outside lane when you are doing 95mph, turning right cutting left.

I went up to the mountains again last weekend .......

Friend in a Lexus SUV (whatever you guys call them) was following..... when we hit the heavy rain I had to slow right down while he carried on, leaving me a good few miles behind.....

A little while after we came out of the rain (making sure that the roads were really dry) I decided I would try to catch up ..... the rest, as they say, is history !!!!

Heh heh heh...that'd be funny.

"Oh....excuse me.....sorry about that. I was looking at my car."

BTW, I saw a Ferrari 575 Maranello on the freeway yesterday, have you guys ever seen one? It is unbelievable.
Oh man yeah. Our offices used to occupy 2 bldgs. When I walked from one to the other I would invariably look at my car. It was almost embarrassing and I tried not to but I couldn't.

Just sprucing up the thread.

Yes, I almost smashed the S into a concrete wall at Spring Mountain track outside of Vegas. Scared the absolute out of me, all I could envision was the entire side of the car scraping along that wall.

It was a case of throttle oversteer - came out of a slow corner and gave it too much throttle. Back end came around and before I knew it, I was doing pirouettes around the front straight, heading directly towards the wall. I think I went around at least 3 times ... came to rest with the rear bumper ONE INCH from that wall.

I'm lucky I didn't leave a giant pile of in the driver's seat.

It took a lot of nerve for me to get back out there and drive again the next day. I had nightmares about it all night.

:feels a little sick thinking about it again:

Followed up with an auto-cross, where I did another spin session - but much safer. Only mashed a few cones. No doubt about it, this car comes around FAST.

Yes it does come around fast. I've been able to correct my mishaps very easily though. Man I love this car.

Ooh, red, that's quite a little tale. I'm glad you didn't hurt your car tho...

Nice pic of the Maranello. I still dig the Modena more, but I wouldn't throw either out of my garage. Considering a Maranello for your next car? As I told James, if that's your trade, I won't give you too much .
