My dealer has said they need to duplicate the problem before they'll fix it, although an S2000 mechanic there said it should be taken care of when they go in for the decel rattle. And you KNOW it's almost impossible to duplicate that 2nd gear grind...
I used to work for Honda and what you do is get the Service Bulletins and take them to your dealer....if they give you $hit, then ask for the Honda District Service Manager and that person works for Honda America and will see that you're being taken care of....

That's kinda focked that you have to do that just to get them to do anything.

:kinda worried:

Dealers....don't make as much per Hour as well as total hours to do the job.....this means if it's not warranty it's big $$$. But, it's rare to get a dealership so ANAL.....the one i worked at was awsome!! we catered to the warranty customer to gain their future bussiness....Honda of America is kick A$$, they're willing to do what it takes to keep their customers coming back time after time again!!

Yeah, the S2000 mechanic seemed to be very well aware of the issues and seemed like he would help support me since he knows how anal we all are about our cars. I'd been working with the same service writer for years with my Accord but he seemed a little unreliable when it came to the S. Another writer seemed a lot more helpful, so I think I'll work with him. Next week (track day Saturday)....

s2k_redhead, it's nice to see a COMPETENT woman behind the wheel!

That's definitely one quality I look for in a girl (and relax s2k, i'm not specifically referring to you! what would your hubby think!??! ). Someone who appreciates a fine machine and who has the skill & confidence to tame it. That's a girl that can drive her way into my heart.
(sorry, there I go w/ the f^cked up metaphors again! )
