You would be amazed at how much bigger and more impressive those animals look in their native habitat than in the zoo. We had occasion to spend five weeks in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Seeing a pride of lions up close in the bush stalking zebras and wildebeasts moving across the horizon, with snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro as a backdrop (Masai Amboseli Park), is unbelievable. Perhaps the greatest experience of my life. I want to do the Okavango Delta next.

Yeah, our flight from London to Nairobi, with refueling stops in Paris and Entebbe, Uganda, took longer than our flight from LA to Amsterdam.
