Illegal Immigrant poetry
Can you really be "wealthy" on welfare there?
Here a single person on assistance gets $525 a month to live on. Doesn't sound like the makings of even a middle class life to me.
And how can an illegal immigrant even get social assistance?

Sounds more like a systemic problem - but I'm not condoning illegal immigration either.

Plenty of illegals get social assistance here in the States.

I believe its more than $525/month-especially when you add in food stamps/rent assistance/education/health care etc.

We don't have food stamps and no new social housing has been built in over a decade IIRC. People here on assistance do get the same health care and education benefits as everyone else - the provincial minimum. Still...even if you're looking at paying non-subsidized rent and eating I don't know how people can do it on $525 a month.
But I still don't get how you can get assistance if you're there illegally.
Fake ID?
why is every one so on this topic??? who here is german??? who here is irish??? who here is italian??? yes you are that because your parents were once illegal here but worked very hard to become lagit...
I was born in new york and I treat every one the same no matter if they are illegal here in the united stated, we all bleed red and we all have the same body parts.
Every one complains about them but mean while they are renovating your house or cutting your lawn, if you are so against them, then stop giving them jobs and a place to live. Maybe every one should be in there shoes and see if you would like being discriminated because you dont speak the english language, see how it feels to be treated like a criminal and your not selling, killing, raping some one, but busting your freaking ass for that money.
You guys dont know and will never live in there shoes and thats why people like going around saying ni*er and spic.

It's wealthy if you compare it to the squalor that most illegals leave. By our standards it'd be a pretty meager living. But if you game the system right, it's quite possible to work a good job (i.e. construction), get paid under the table, and collect benefits. And that's true for anyone willing to work, which most Americans are not, and cheat, which most anyone on the bottom rungs seems to think is okay.
There are plenty of complaints about illegal immigrants working under the table, but no one seems to complain about the bazillions of people who were born in the US and don't claim their tips on their taxes or have other unclaimed income.

Bottom line that we can all agree on - if you don't hate welfare, you hate America and you should be deported to a communist country where you'll be a lot happier.
