The Banff Springs Hotel is an excellent choice! Before it was bought out by Fairmont, it was part of the CP Hotel chain. Years ago I worked at the Toronto one (the Royal York) and could stay at any property for $30/night! All of the former CP properties are older, beautiful places with great service.
