My 6 year old might take issue with this, James. Actually, I suspect he'd wish to give you a right pasting for that comment earlier about lesser teams. Actually, you should see him play soccer -- suprising, really!

Peter, you mean Australia has a soccer (umm... football) team??

Peter,

Doing some early morning posting today???

Wouldn't it be fun, though, to travel with the team to these Asia/Pacific home parks?!! Fiji, Tonga, what a blast.

Well, OK, I for one am now officially cheering for Australia, Peter!

If you could call them that yes!

The government wanted to get the world cup after Germany because it was the only way we could ever have our team playing because we can never qualify. (to qualify we have to play against other Asia/Pacific teams, i.e. Fiji, Tonga, NZ etc.) Makes you realize how bad our team is huh!!!!

I guess the Aussies didn't really get much practice against a team that would prepare them for playing Uruguay did they

Actually the last two games we've played against NZ we lost.

It took alot for me to admitt that.

If we get our international players we have a good side, otherwise it's pretty weak.

That game against Samoa was actually close one but we managed to sneak away with the win.
