Forgive me for going back to topic but....
You mentioned that you introduced her and car meet guy months ago. My guess is that if there were any mutual sparks between them, they would have started dating. Obviously they haven't, so plenty of time has passed. It's not like car meet guy and this girl were in some serious relationship or anything.
Why exactly is car meet guy (and others) pissed?
Is he mad/jealous because she doesn't reciprocate his feelings? Do your friends think that you 'moved in on his territory?' I just don't get why people seem to be pissed at you.
