I'm digging my blu-ray. Video doesn't differ too much from upscaled DVDs at the moment, however those BDs that are utilizing DTS give you a pretty kick ass theater experience.

Btw, just to point something out, it isn't really "dead" yet. They may not be making stand-alone players anymore, but they are still producing and selling combo players. When they stop producing vcrs all together, then we can officially call it dead.

I remember when punchcards were the only way to program and reel to reel non-random access was king. When a man could earn enough to buy a house and keep the missus at home. When 9 year olds didn't have phones, and teenagers weren't pissed that the car cost less than 40k.
