I could bring it, but they'll take it away when I get there. We are only allowed to have the same stuff as all the other soldiers. Even things like toothbrush containers have to be the same. Once I'm out of my warrant Officer training things will be different. I'll probably buy a new laptop soon after that.

Mine grows back so fast anyway. I keep it pretty short. I'm on an every 2 week haircut schedule as it is.

 

I got a haircut yesterday and watched this teenage kid with fairly long hair get a buzz cut. A huge amount of hair on the floor. I told my hair stylist "That reminds me of my first day in basic training, except all my hair came off in about 11 seconds."

 

I'm tempted to buzz mine before I leave cause I hear it pisses them off, but I'm on reception for about 8 days before basic starts and the last thing I want to do is make enemies too fast.
