Yeah, actually I have heard the Alpine iPod interface thingy is not as user friendly as it could be Lots of info on it in the electronics forum 
I know one local guy who has it..I played with his for a few minutes..it seems doable (oh I can only imagine the edits after typing that sentence!)

I remember some SoCal DUDE had one stealthed into his glove box and said it worked great but I dont think it was in an Alpine box. Im sure once its hooked up it will be nice! I just cant wait to get it

there are some issues w/ the alpine ipod interface, but I love mine. so much easier than having to look at the small text on the ipod screen, and I can just keep the ipod stashed inmy glovebox and not worry.
