Man, I used my legos until I was 16 or 17. I should take some pictures of things I built and kept (I've had them on the shelves in my old room at my Mom's house for years). I've got a fleet of jets, castles and boats that I built right out of my imagination. I guess I was meant to be an engineer from a young age.
One of my jets has over 80 guns and missiles and is roughly 16 inches long (overkill, but I had to fit more than my brother had on his two foot super warboat). One of my castles is nearly four square feet in floor area as well - took me about ten hours to build. I would spend hours on rainy days building things... Ah, the good ol' days.

We had a whole city in the basement of my friends house growing up. It had gas station, airport, hospital, police, houses, etc.....man that took a long time to build. Then.....one day his little bro thrashed the whole thing. We were so pissed we never even rebuilt the damn thing.

I used to build a lot of plastic models and paint them and such. I had probably ten really good ones sitting around on shelves things. My bro and I got into a fight one day and he smashed all them.
Those were a lot of work. All were hand painted.
