J, what's so hard to believe?
I've never taken any of my cars to redline, not even WOT. I don't have the guts. Heck, I've only ever gone 87mph (top speed), but that was because I had to speed up real quick to make my exit.
More rpm = more fuel consumption so it's all stupid, IMO.

Heck, I redlined it about 10 times on the way home from school today... FRIDAY!!! (and out of school 1hr early)
Not to mention going WOT at least 25 times.
Used almost 1/4 tank in 10 miles.

I drive like a bat out of hell! But I do restrict it to when I am the only person in the car. As much fun as it must be to total your own car on inanimate objects (I wouldn't know) It's not tops on my priority list.
