It's a Merlin Iliad frame, Rob. It's made of Titanium. The frame is new, though it's a 2001 model. The bike store guy bought three of them back then to become a Merlin dealer, and he was planning to keep the third for himself. I've been eyeing the frame in his shop for a couple of years. I'm getting it at cost (which, nevertheless, ain't cheap).

I'm having him build it out with an awesome set of components.

Can't wait, Rob.

In my case, this is called self-motivation.

eating a rare steak with a guiness while watching Benny Hill will get you about a pints' worth of manliness
