It would likely be travelling between 300 and 3000 mph but not glowing... it could be but not likely.

When it enters the atmosphere it could be exceeding speeds of 30,000 mph... mine (Sikhote Alin) was supposed to be going 32,000 when it entered atmosphere. They slow tremendously but related to size. Most that are small practically float in the last few miles, huge ones like the one that was supposed to have killed off dinosaurs wold have probably not have slowed much at all.

i'm assuming a chevy suburban-sized meteor impacting the earth at ~20k mph would do quite a bit of damage to the new tacoma.
