To go with Jed, it's a waste of time for a casual viewer. You need to watch every episode from season1 episode1 on, and watch them intently, and sometimes twice (TiVi/DVR is handy for this). I refuse to watch them with anyone talking in the room. Small details are everywhere that get missed if you're trying to multitask.

I don't know wht ABC keeps saying it in the commercial, but there is NO way a person can start watching from the last episode and know what is going on.
With that being said, for whomever saw the last episode, I think that Asian guy from the "rescuers" who can speak to dead spirits, is going to tie in somehow with Locke and/or Desmond and their powers.
