I woke up this morning with a massive pain shooting out of the right side of my mouth...my wisdom tooth is coming in and it is the most God-awful pain I have ever experienced

Is there anything I can take to simmer down the pain? Or is shooting myself on that side of my mouth the best option...help please!!!

 

Depends on what the problem is .... if it is an infection caused by the tooth starting to come through, gargle with salt water ....

If it is the tooth itself pushing against another tooth, then that is harder to deal with .... try rubbing brandy or something similar on the spot that hurts ...... but best advice would be to go and see yur dentist ...

I think the best option would be going to the dentist as soon as you can. (take mom's advice, I guess she is right this time ) Otherwise lots o drugs can help in the short term......

 

I called my dentist and he cant see me until saturday!!! I told him "Do u even sympathise with me???" My boss just gave me advil...and i think a friend has vicodin for later hehe...do those ambesol tubes work?

 

I hate dentists, and mine is a really nice guy!! I feel for you!

 

My dentist is Blind....last time I was there, he walked into a wall... i was , until I realized he is gonna stick sharp metal objects in my mouth :run: :help:

 

Buy some Anbesol at the local pharmacy or grocery store. It's pretty much the same as the topical numbing agents dentists use right before they shoot ya' with novacaine. I just pour some on a Q-tip and rub it on the painful area. It doesn't last too long, but it will numb the $hit out of it and get you through the worse times.
