yeah.. probably more comfortable than the mugen.
i don't know what oem seats for the miata is like, but oem seats in the S are quite good. i was surprised how supportive they were.

 

The OEM seats in the Miata are decent. Not much lateral support, but a basically comfortable thing to sit on. I actually don't care for the stock seat in the S. They're quite a bit better than what the Miata has, but the shape isn't all that comfortable for me.

 

i think that's the toughest parts of designing a car... making it comfortable for everyone...
i think the lateral support is definitely subpar compared to a nice Recaro, Momo, Bride, Mugen, etc.. seat, but for daily use, I think it's quite nice.

that's how the mugen one was...

 

It's an entry level fiberglass shell seat, but it fits me just about perfectly. Sparco's offerings are either just a hair too small or too big. This fits right between the Rev and the Evo by Sparco.
