this is car talk without all the ego-bruising and pissing matches found on the other forums.... am I bitter?.... no, just annoyed....

 

Didn't make me mad, Hoonda. You may have noticed that I tend to get snippy when faced with mediocre ing, though. If you wanna drag a thread off topic, do it a little more thoughtfully.

As for that engine, one of the local guys has a similar throttle body setup on his car. He's having a devil of a time tuning it so far.

 

I hear tuning that thing is a bitch.... I don't know if it makes a power difference, or if it is just response....???

I think it improves response and that's about it

 

wicky, so far he's noticed response differences, but power is actually DOWN in some throttle positions. Once you get it tuned right I would imagine you could get slightly better power, but I think the primary benefit is the tuning flexibility.

Hoonda, what I mean is that it's one thing to hijack a thread with a tangential conversation and quite another to just break the flow of conversation with a post. It's all about subtlety and pride in execution...
