By the way, what're those metal pieces in front flanking the nose of the Cobra. Are they for attaching a bumper?

You do see a surprising number of these vehicles on the roads out here. Kits or not, they're very cool.

Those are jack points. Some Cobra's (and replicas) have bumperettes mounted through the oval holes you see to each side of the big "mouth" on the car (as well as in the rear) and some have the "racing" setup of those metal pieces you see, which are jack points, I believe.

Some of the bumperettes are connected by a little ring that circles the mouth. They look silly, IMHO...

I prefer the jacking points. More purposeful and practical, because those bumperettes wouldn't stop anything anyway...
