Right, I knew you were on the road, G.

I know how you feel. Not to put too fine a point on it, I was in Ireland when 9/11 happened. All I wanted to do was be home.

This may turn out to be nothing, or it may take a long, long time to turn into something, so I'd just relax and enjoy your trip.

Okay, did anyone else find it funny, watching on the news how scientist kept raising the alert, and telling people to stay away and vacate the area and MORE and MORE people kept showing up to take pictures and look and whatnot? Is this not natural selection? I mean if a bunch of deer decided to keep grazing at the base of the mountain and the rest left , sensing danger, and that small percentage of deer ended up melting in some lava flow...what would you think? Here we have a bunch of men and women trained to monitor these types of events, saying they know something is going to happen but they aren't sure exactly what.... some of their readings are screwy...."stay away for your own safety ." What to people do? They stop by the store for some film and pile into the car. Good Lord. It's no tlike the hurricanes in Florida where some people get stuck and can't evacuate, or attempt to ride it out to protect their homes or property (however misguided). I just don't get it.

Laugh and enjoy the irony, Focker. People are inherently dumb and destined to die in dumb ways.

I didn't know that you were in Ireland at 9/11. That's interesting. (You may have said but I'd forgotten)

I'm sure you'd agree though... this isn't the same. Seattle has little to be concerned with as long as the wind is blowing East.

I hope the scientists required to stick around there have a camera handy to video tape the crowd running. I'm sorry, but that would be hysterical.
