Microsoft did not go to IBM to sell them DOS. In fact, IBM went to Microsoft after BASIC (the programming language). Microsoft sent them to Digital Research, who balked at IBM's massive non-disclosure agreements, went back to Microsoft, at which point MS ran off to Seattle Computer Products to buy QDOS, which they renamed PCDOS/MSDOS.

Also, the Apple Lisa was Jobs' baby, but it flopped big time. It was too expensive, and just didn't sell. It was aborted fairly early on, and the Macintosh was born as a result. This film makes it out as if it was sold alongside the Mac as a successful product

I somehow remember the lisa not doing so well (not sure if I remember it from reading or observing it ). Heh, I also remember thinking how cool the paint program on the original macs was when I was a kid in school

I agree with that, I have examples of both their work sitting on my desk ...on second thought, you're probably talking about what they did to put their respective companies where they are today
