I am just filling out some forms to join a professional body, and it says that I have to declare any conviction ..... including any motoring offence that resulted in a disqualification .....

Fingers crossed that a speeding offence isn't going to stop me being accepted !!!

It means you don't follow a rule just cause it's a rule. You ignore authority. Who's to say you won't break a law because of a bribe when you already don't mind breaking laws. That's their reasoning at least.

 

It makes logical sense, but has the problem of judging people wrongly or too quickly
