178,000 students.
Roughly $11,460 per kid.
Guessing that there are 30 kids in each, that is about $343,800 per classroom.
I'd really like to know out of the $11,460 per kid, how much of that is taken by admin costs, teacher salary (benefits/retirement etc) and how much of that money actually is used to purchase EDUCATIONAL ITEMS (books/computers and the like).

Class sizes are absurd in Philadelphia (as are most inner city districts) We have some teachers who work here part time, who have 35+ kids in their classes with NO AID or assistant. ITs not even
sitting anymore.
