First point is, I never had an encounter with a ditch, it was a steel central divider and a concrete wall .... second point is, mine would have been fixable if I had wanted it to be (just ). In fact the insurance company paid me the repair costs and I kept the car, which I then sold without the repairs being done and with the extra cash was able to buy a newer one with sat/nav and the special alloys

Hey Mom, next time, have the tech's scoot your car further onto the lift... Your car is too ass-heavy mounted that way. It wouldn't be too hard to knock it backwards when you tighten those lugs...


BUT, they shouldnt be torquing them down unless the car is already on the ground... either way, it's a safe practice.
