I have touched my eye after handling chilli and that was bad enough ......... great story

 

From what I've been told water only makes it worse and that you should (only if it's your mouth I'm guessing) eat bread and sugar. I don't know if it's true or not.

 

I am not sure about the bread and sugar .....
I have always been told milk or yoghurt, which is why Indian restaurants serve raita with their meals.......

 

Yeah that probably makes more sense.

I'm not a big fan of hot or really spicy food.

I do like cajun cooking though, I had mesquite once in Arizona and that was beautiful, not to hot or spicy but it had a beautiful flavour to it. When I go back in Nov. I'll be sure to stop in Sedona to get some more.

 

I am a fan of Indian food. I am not so keen on foods that rely mainly on chilli as a spice (Thai for instance).

The mixture of spices used in Indian food, while making it quite hot, also give it a very deep flavour I think.....

 

Yeah....it's an oil. Water does no good.
