Marcus, a nice guy is all the things you stated and much more. The word nice does not necassarily have to be an adjective. It can also develop into respectfull, thoughtfull, and just down right considerate of someone else. "Nice" is a very broad term. Nice guys are guys who dont $hit on women they say they care about, in a nutshell.

Ok, so then let's use a scenario. If you're 5'3" and weigh 150 pounds and you ask your man, "Am I fat?" and he says, "You could loosed a few pounds"

Did he shit on you?

 

No. If you ask the question, in my opinion 1. you already know the answer or 2. looking for flattery which might not be there ie, "you could loose a few pounds" If you ask a question, be ready for the answer. Many women are not.
His reply could be better such as " I think you would feel better about yourself if you lost weight" Truth stings, especially from ones we care for, so at times, you have to be truthfull, yet soft.

 

It can happen, but the odds are against the nice guy surviving. I would be willing to wager that the 'nice girl' has had several realtionships with a-holes and she will continue to talk about them day-in and day-out. The 'nice guy' being the 'nice guy' will listen to it and sympathise for a short time and then get sick of hearing about the a-hole that bent her over backwards on his yacht and ravaged her sweaty naked body for hours on end with his hugeness and that it's so nice now that she found the 'nice guy' and he's not so big and doesn't have a drawer of sex toys and K-Y.

 

So, sort of an a-hole with tact, April?
