Actually, this past weekend was not good - I got beat, but that's because I couldn't seem to drive in the rain on Saturday. On Sunday, however, back to form, just got pipped in the last run by Steve W. in his S2k (oh yeah, he trophied at the Nationals this year) but I was beating him by .1 seconds after 3 runs on Sunday. I went slower on my last run (lost my head pushing too hard) and he picked up a couple of tenths to beat me by .16 seconds. Pretty darn close if you think about it - less than half a car length
Most important, though, was that even with spotting Jeff in his 911 .8 seconds Saturday, I came back to beat him by 1.3 seconds, so my margin over him was .5 seconds for the two days. I'll post pix of the trophy after the banquet next month
