It also helps to upgrade your speakers Kath if you don't change the system!!!!!

I installed rear speakers behind the seats and upgraded the front speakers with better ones. I kept the stock stereo and just got the wiring harness for the rear speakers from Lucid Automotive. It actually sounds pretty good. It just doesn't have the boomy bass. If you decide to run without an amp like I do, just get lower wattage speakers....they will sound great.

In the future, I would like to get an MP3 player...other than that, I probably won't spend a lot of money in it while it's still a daily driver.

That is the best feature of Ledfoot by far! The Bose system that came with the SE is outstanding...it'll be strange having to upgrade speakers after owning that car. Can't you get sets of the rear panels with two speakers a piece from Lucid....hmm...I'll have to check...

BTW Luke...the pic of the back of you (uhhuh) STOOOOOOK is awesome, the tires are really aggressive in stance!

I love how much wider they look.

We made a small video over the weekend that show some of my wheels in action. I'll post it later.

We put Lucid's rear speakers in the back of our red '00 and it definitely helped. I can tell the '02 system is much better to start with, but I'm used to having a pretty nice stereo - my Accord had a great system. Of course, topless makes it much harder to keep it loud!

So, I'm 90% convinced that I want to put in an amp and sub ... but I'm thinking that I might just upgrade the HU to one of the cool Alpines with MP3 and upgrade the door speakers (but coax or components? seems like components would be better ...) and then see how that sounds. If I need more, then I can add the amp and sub. I love to play my music LOUD.

I just don't want to add any junk to the trunk and take up what little storage space I have. (rolls of drawings can get pretty big)
