i can only see that laptops getting thinner. it doesn't look like they can lessen the screen size too much more until they blur the line between PDAs and laptops.

I guess it depends what you use them for. If you have one as a desktop replacement, then 17" is good. If you need one to supplement a desktop, the smaller is better!

Yes, that's also what I mean. However, as Mocky said, my little Dell kicks butt, too. The PowerBook would just help me simplify things on my desk a bit as well as being a good on-road companion...

My mini-Dell is a sub-3 pound laptop that is my primary computer. I have a docking base for it to make it easy to hook up to the various periperhals and it's quick to eject from the base and keep for the road. I'll probably never go back to a standard desktop as a primary computer.
