George, was that really your call sign? Or is that one you just made up?

 

That was really my call sign, Luke. It is a Hopi indian word for some sort of unspeakable torture (I forget exactly what, it had to do with slowly tearing human flesh off). I picked it up from a crazed instructor in flight school at Brooks AFB is San Antonio. My wingman's call sign was Wedding Bells (kind of wimpy).

I have no idea what I would have picked had I persued that goal.

That gives me an idea...we should all pick callsigns and put them in our sig.
