Everyone keeps saying that the corner isn't here for tension or hostility or disagreement and all that mess. I wasn't aware that the corner was here for a specific purpose (or not for other purposes). I was under the impression (mistaken?) that the corner was here for us to be able to wander in and be ourselves and not have to sanitize it for general consumption around the board??

That being the case, if I want to debate I typically wander into the corner. If I want to laugh I wander into the corner. If I feel like pulling out a soap box and preaching to the huddled masses...you guessed it...I wander into the corner.

If you like what I have to say...talk to me. If you don't...just ignore me and eventually I'll get it out of my system.

I try to treat those I encounter in the corner with appropriate respect...and that is the sole guideline that I try to maintain. If someone asks that I not drag them down...I try to leave them alone. If they get sensitive when I pick on them or don't like a nickname that I call them by...I stop.

There are people around here that I like and/or respect and there are others that I don't. Some of you know who you are and others...well...I guess you will figure it out eventually.

In the meantime...I'm going to bed...
