post whoring does not only happen in just the corner.... there are other areas where post whoring takes place on s2ki. Since your rules are consitent to rules of "real life corporations" then remember, if one guy in a group does something wrong, do you then blame everybody, or do you just fire the one guy?

You are yelling at people that 1. Do not post porn, 2. are really nice people, 3. people who do not have attitudes, 4. people who have standards. 5. people that really don't do personal attacks, unless defending oneself.

Now there are always a group of people, but every time this happens you come yelling in here, go in the off topic and threaten to shut that down, cause frankley all the bad shit happens in the main part, not the corner.

amazing how the corner helps this site be as popular as it is. Yet if 1 or 2 people do something, blame it on all of us.

Okay, since I am the master of the long, drawn-out, complaint, I'm going to step on the scale and weigh in...but probably not in the direction most would expect.

I'm sick of it on both sides of the coin.

For starters I think The Corner does have a bad rap, however misplaced that animosity might be. Sophia's right in this regard. I'm not saying there has never been suggestive material in The Corner...that's ridiculous...but a lot of the questionable posts/pics don't take place here. All the times some form of argument crops up about wrongful post deletion, banning, etc etc. around here...I have no idea what the hell anyone is talking about.....I'm here every single day and I spend it in The Corner (whether I'm lurking or out in the open posting). I find myself having to leave The Corner just to find out what is going on....something I rarely do of my own accord.

I also think Cthree is right in another regard though....and it stems from the definition of what a Corner really is, or at least was. There are plenty of people running around here and other forums on the site, shouting from the moutain-tops that they are "whores"...and feel that, for whatever reason, that this gives them the right to be stupid, suggestive, and against the rules set forth by the guys and gals who gave us this arena to congregate in the first damn place. These are the same people who would hang around and write the same one-word phrase in every goddamned thread in The Corner...because that's what they thought being a "whore" was about...C'mon...How many times has the line "Being a whore is not just about PPD" been uttered in here? Quite a few. Because the high PPD's weren't the goal. They were the product of something else. There is a reason why a lot of these folks never got badges.

What the hell is The Corner for then? To me, The Corner has been about a bunch of people from all over the country and globe who want to be able to say "good morning", share goofy stories, thoughts, and their "everydays". And no, it doesn't fall in any category on the other boards, which is why it falls here. It's how people get sucked into The Corner and it's why people stay....because we all came together for the love of our cars...then we discovered there's a lot more to everyone here....and we dig that too. It's got to be one the most geographically widespread, diverse, tight-knit communities of low-down, dirty scoundrels on the boards ( ).

THAT is what the Corner was for when I asked for my badge. THAT is why I stay.....I think it's why a lot of people stay here. And I would never have asked for the badge in the first place if being obnoxious was what we were really only about. We're a community that celebrates our collective indiviuduality, but that doesn't mean our collective fate should determined by the actions of individuals.

There is talk about policing ourselves, and I'm completely with the mods on that...Don't think for two seconds that I am not. Is it really that hard to follow the rules? It's not like we've been asked to put on iron undies and swim for Christ's sake. But if a few guys leave The Corner...and do something wrong....threatening to shut down The Corner for their individual decisions and actions is just plain wrong. How do we police what isn't in our house? By all means, a person should be held accountable for what they do and say, and be punished according to the rules set forth by the moderators, but those punishments need to be balanced and evenly applied to all individuals across the board (no pun intended).
