oh, I've had a ton of time to myself.

there was no work. they told me to stay away for another two weeks. then they said *shorten* it by two weeks.

I'm not complaining, I too love what I do

 

Somedays I think I should just love what I do and screw the fact the world says I should have an outside life. What's wrong with loving your job when your job is cool?

how many people over thirty are an international hero to kids and the disdain of their parents? It's like being a rock star... just without the world tours, riches, glam and groupies.

 

you know... there is a police/community/kids thing I donate to every six months, and last time they called they told me I was a hero.

blew me away. I just give a little dough to help out because I can...

it was weird, I've never been called a hero, and he was so sincere when he said it.

something that'll stick with me... even though I don't think I'm any kind of hero

 

That's the thing about heros. They just do what comes natural to them. No pretense.

 

 

I don't know. It's a big word for the average joe...

 

It's not something to tossed around lightly--those kids think you are one.
