Life has thrown my family another shitstorm this week. A very close uncle passed away unexpectedly, 61 years old had a bad allergic reaction to a blood thinner he was given for a mild heart attack.
The worst part is my niece (his daughter) who lost her mother at age 13 (my moms sister) just had her first baby
and he never got a chance to see the baby! I feel so bad for my neice, 24 years old with a new baby and she has no parents now.

My grandmother, whose mother had just died, said something at the funeral... She made an overservation that we, her extended family, only gathered for the best of times (weddings and holidays) and the worst (funerals or accidents)... But it's the bad that truly made us appreciate just how special the good times really were. It helped me get through that time, and maybe it'll help you.
