I don't care where we stay, but we DO need to either come to some sort of consensus or just make a decision.

I think it's probably safe to say that we need a roll-call by the end of this month for who plans to attend. I know it's hard for many to make plans this far in advance, but it is also the ONLY way to adequately coordinate this many schedules.

Start negotiating with your work now for the time off. Odds are that your bosses are more likely to say yes now than if you wait another couple months and mid-October is more "real" to them than it is right now. Pop the question before that timeframe is even on their radar.
