I'm dosed up on some serious steroids to fight that frikkin' poison ivy, James (I wasn't able to beat it with my own immune system), but otherwise, I'm well. A beautful day out here in New England, TJ.

How's tomorrow lookin?

Too bad about the weather, James.

Good news for your weekend, though... Do you use your cabin much in spring/summer months?

The PI doesn't stand a chance against Prednizone, James, it just irks me that I had to resort to medication to beat this. The arm that I showed you guys last week is pretty much dried up and scabbed over, but the ivy spread like wildfire over the past few days. I think the skin is a fascinating, though extremely annoying, organ.

We were up there the weekend before last rafting, and I think we will be up there again this weekend .... it is nice to get out of Tokyo and relax

Good news about the arm

Can you not kill the PI at the source ?? Flame throwers can be pretty effective against PI as well ....

Awesome, James. I just read an article in Popular Science about the tech used in sea kayaking... Very cool stuff. I gotta' try kayaking some time.

Believe me, alternate methods to kill off the PI are being considered. I yanked out the mother root and all of the bloody vines it was putting out in our underbrush by the pool, but it may not be a permanent solution. I just shouldn't have let it go for two years as I did. Now, I've got my eye on it. I like the flamethrower idea, except if you torch PI, you can actually put yourself in the hospital from getting it in your lungs if you accidentally breathe it in. Thankfully, that has never happened to me.

Perhaps a call to the Raptor man might be in order. Full hazard suit should be sufficient.

Hmmm, didn't realise about the burning of PI being dangerous ....

Glad I have never had to try that !!!!!

We had it at my parents house years ago and I am sure that my old man used some pretty strong weed killer to get rid of it .... though I do seem to remember that he took out quite a lot of other plants at the same time !!!!!!
