I'm driving and we will be parking on the East side over by OMSI. There is a parking garage over there that my friend says I would like better than most. Then walking across the Hawthorne bridge. The walk will help work off some of that alcohol. If I get drunk, I'll have to just hang out downtown until I sober up. I don't plan on getting too drunk though.

I'm debating on taking MAX since there is a station right next to my condo. Just not sure how long it will take me to get downtown ...

Damn, you guys have some good outdoor gigs up there in the summer.

 

We do. Portland is actually a hip little place. We just had the Blue's festival around July 4th. Before that it was the Rose Festival. All of them right on the water front.

 

I have a fraternity brother that now works for Oracle and lives just outside Portland. A bunch of us got together for a mini-reunion a few years back and attended this event.

We had an amazing time. We had perfect weather and drank way, way, way too much beer. My bro's apartment was walking distance (or should I say stumbling distance) so nobody had to worry about DUI.

One place that I remember was a great Irish bar named Kell's. Is that place still open? We had way too much fun in that place.
