B&H is probably the complete opposite.. no questions asked... great customer service.. The price point of the 1.8 is why I got it over the 1.4... Next lens I'd like to get is either a 35mm or a 160mm .

I actually have the import version of the 50mm f/1.8 and I've had 0 problems with it.
Thanks

You mean the berlina? I still have it...

I'm still confused or most likely just behind the times. Do you have two S2000s now?

The 50mm 1.4 is prone to focus issues. know i have a bad one right in front of me. The MK1 1.8 on the other hand is Only thing that beats in MHO is the 50L save your change

If I may:

go on your local craigslist or on fred miranda and look for the older manual focus lens.

Chances are it'll be about the same price, but you're looking at f/1.4 or even 1.2 for the same price.

yes it's manual focus, but what are the chances of you absolutely needing AF when you NEED to take a shot with that lens?

Beauty of Nikons, the old lens stash is vast. Look for the 50 1.2 Ai-S or 1.4 Ai or Ai-S
Thanks

Today Evan and I went down to the Convention Center in Portland and went to Wordstock hosted by Powell's.

Here are a few pics of our day

First thing when we arrived in P-town, we found a Mini Clubman Pooper S!

Thanks... I haven't had a chance to really drive it... Cleveland weather sucks..

I hope I can sell the berlina quickly..I'd like to pick up a daily driver that's a bit more reliable than my Civic.... it's 10 years old... (although running strong), but eventually, I'd like to get a reliable 4 door. (man..I'm starting to sound old.. )

Old man! wait, I'd better shut up about the age thing. Yes, Cleveland weather does suck, no arguments here. I had a 4 door daily driver but sold it a while back (has it really been 5 years?) for a 2 door. As I think I've said before my daily drivers don't get driven because I walk to the train. I have just a little more than 10,000 miles on it in those 5 years. I should just sell all the cars and rent when I need to drive something.
