Play Day report
Here's what happened.
(all times Pacific time)
Traffic on the site was busy in the am (Pacific time) and I was optimistic we would achieve the objective of 374 logins. Shortly after 1 the numbers started to rise up from about 275 to 300. they wavered there for a while and we started up the Chat Room.
By the time a groggy Tokyo James had joined us in the Chat Room it was 1:45pm and the number had grown to 332. (TJ had just gotten up but we could hear him pour himself a scotch in the background). By then we had about 15 of us in the "room" and it was getting pretty fun at 10 to 2pm Doger fan wrote:

... unfortunately, it was not to be. That, it seemed, was as high as we'd go for the day.
As we watched the numbers fall again, we just turned our attention to having fun in the Chat room. Something we've agreed to try to do regularly (see below).
One very amusing note: with expressed concern by the admin's of the board it's ironic that the Corner was quiet for an HOUR AND A HALF!! Silence was broken only once when a sleepy TJ asked if anyone was around for Play Day. LMAO! Attention Mod's and Exec. The way to quiet down the whoring is to encourage Play Days.
Attendance on the West Coast of NA was heavy and from the UK... sadly only a cameo appearance by W6Dan broke the silence. Timing must be an issue to be resolved. Suggestions are welcome.
I'm not discouraged and in fact think though we failed to his the elusive 374, we had a success in finding the Chat Room and an amusing quieting effect on the Corner. We'll live to PLAY another DAY.
