After 20+ years in the biz, Mike, it simply doesn't get any easier. Ugh...

(thanks! )

I could use a good RIF here at the moment. Might motivate me to go find something I love to do...

Find the motivation inside yourself, Brant. Of course you can wait 'till PluckyCon and then I'll be happy to kick you in the butt personally.

I know, Chaz. I've always had the skills to do whatever I've wanted to, but lack the focus to figure out what that is. I'm working on it...

That said, I'll still be working with the old man through the summer. I've committed to working with him probably through '05 to help get him back to where he needs to be and then help find him a part-time office assistant.

You definitely remind me of my sis, Brunt. The situation always reminds me of Curly (Jack Palance) from "City Slickers" -- do one thing and do it well. It's tough when you're multi-talented and don't know what the one thing is...

Well, that's certainly understandable about helping your dad, Brunt.

I'm not a specialist...never have been. I'm an operations guy...give me a problem and a deadline and I'll make it happen. I'm considering developing a business case as a consultant to help companies downsize since I've been through it a lot and actually kind of enjoy it...

Ugh, can we please not talk about downsizing today?

If I did go that consulting route I would probably focus not on just downsizing, but on actually closing businesses...
