Sadly, the media is our only check and balance to an out of control CiC. The "selective" reporting that creates a bias is though.

My point was more that the government (via the FCC) seems to have differing rules of engagement, based on their agenda, when it comes to dead bodies.

I have no problem with the Pope's funeral getting as much attention as it does. I'm not a religious person, and definitely not Catholic or for that matter, Christian, but I do recognize him as a great spiritual leader, and a person who has done the world a great deal of good.

But I'm curious, if some other spiritual leader of his level dies today, will his/her death get as much media coverage? I highly doubt it, and that's the problem I have with the media here - that they are, to an extent, biased. But I guess that's just the way things are.
