proof of concept: collapsing threads
I wrote some handy collapsing code for a project at work, then google released gmail that uses a similar function...what about for s2ki? So I did up a little proof of concept here:
http://hackforfood.com/s2ki.html
http://hackforfood.com/s2ki.html
useful b/c in my browser images that aren't displayed aren't downloaded, so the page loads faster. also reduces the amount you have to scroll while still being able to see the whole thread. Kinda the same point as in doing it with email threads like google or mail.app.
Trending Topics
I'd use it iff (if and only if) it would show posts that I've already read as hidden but posts I hadn't seen would be unhidden.
I normally do want to see what the heck is going on with the posts before but yeah... if it went faster NOT to see all... I'd do it.

concept!
