actually i tie it around my head like a bandana, but the back of hte scarf covers the rest of my head so then i just put a clip at the bottom so my hair isn't loose underneath the scarf. here, i'll post a pic...
then you can just put a clip to hold all the loose hair or tie it or something at hte bottom
with silk scarfs, because they won't be as grippy on your hair, i usually tie same way but cover like the top half of my ears as well
oh, and tie them fairly tight so they dont' fly away
