First off, it's a Zeppelin, not a boat. The Boat, in German, das Boot, is neuter-gendered. Zeppelin, however is masculine, hence, Der Zeppelin.

So, really, it's not Das Failboot, but rather Der Failzeppelin. If you really want to make the joke more German, you could probably do something really stupid, like Das ErsatzweiseZeppelin.
