RAM check and Vista?
What's the most reliable way to verify the amount of RAM in PC laptop running Vista without cracking open the machine?
With NT I would always just Control+ALT+Delete and look at the 'Physical Memory' stat. My buddys new laptop running Vista I can do that, but the Physical Memory stat says 765
... although his new laptop is suppose to have 1 gb of RAM. Shouldn't it say 1024???

Isn't there a systems property area? Haven't use Vista yet but it can't be that much different than XP could it?
For instance in XP you'd: start -> control panel -> performance and maintenance -> system.... and it'll tell you everything you need to know.

You can alter that number in FW.

Boot to BIOS for a PC.
