I like my job. I really do, I have lots of reasons to stick around.
However, lately my company seems to be giving me lots of reason to look around. And I just heard about another one. One of the cool things about my current position is that I have a window cubicle. I've been sitting here for over a year now, I think. But it sounds like there's a chance they'll be moving me (reason is pretty legitimate, we've got two big clients, and people working on those clients are kind of scattered around, so we're trying to consolidate the client team members to sit closer together).
I'm very seriously considering submitting my resume to Google, just to see what happens.
OK, **** this, it's 6:15, there's no reason for me to be here, I'm going home to update my resume.

Yeah, there's a Google office in my building too. So that'll make interviewing interesting. I'll probably see if I can work it out so that I just go downstairs for the interview during lunch time.
If I do get hired though, I'm guessing I'll be moving out west.
I highly doubt I'll get hired, I heard it's tough, but I also know that if there's one person in this office who's going to get hired into an engineering position at Google, it'll be me, and I know they know it too (I know that sounds pretentious, but I'm pretty sure I'm right about this).

Google is now trying to find people with a good personality in addition to tech skills so I gave up!

My boss, who is an amazing engineer, didn't get hired, although a bunch of our friends got hired.
