Start at home: don't use your toilet as a wastebasket, recycle, reuse, paper bags -- not plastic, compost, water at night, take shorter showers, AND EAT YOUR ING PEAS!!!!!

George,
We recycle everything, always use paper bags at the grocery, then reuse those as our trash bags, and I only flush the toilet every 3 days . "Water at night" policies are strict down in Houston, especially in the summer, so that's no big deal. I think the biggest thing I could work on is driving a more planet-friendly car!

You can ****ing forget it about the peas, though! The nerve!

There's this new "super kitty litter" still in development stages in Europe that they've been using for oil spills for a few years now. It's some faux-peat moss that absorbs the "oil" and has a by-product of pure water! I watched a demo where they poured motor oil through a strainer of the kitty litter stuff, and pure water dripped through to the bottom. The demo guy even drank it!

Anyway, patents pending and it's still high-dollar stuff, hence it's only used for major oil spills.

Too bad I forget the name, but do you know what I'm talking about?
